Care Closets
Coats for a Cure operates Care Closets at Kettering Health Main Campus and Soin Medical Center, providing patients in need with free warm clothing and essentials such as coats, sweats, hats, scarves, and warming kits. These closets are continuously stocked to ensure support is always available. As we grow, we plan to expand Care Closets to additional healthcare facilities across the Dayton area to serve more members of our community.

Kettering Health Medical Center Main Campus

Our Impact at KHMC
The partnership between Coats for a Cure and Kettering Health Medical Center addresses a critical gap in holistic patient care. By maintaining a fully stocked Care Closet, we provide immediate relief to vulnerable populations, including the unhoused and those in financial crisis. Our impact is measured not just in the number of coats distributed, but in the reduction of cold-weather health complications and the restoration of self-worth for patients transitioning back into the community.
Kettering Health Soin

Our Impact at Kettering Health Soin
At Coats for a Cure, we believe in Kettering Health’s mission to care for the "whole person"—body, mind, and spirit. Our Care Closet at Soin Medical Center provides a tangible expression of that mission. By ensuring that vulnerable patients in the Beavercreek and Greater Greene County area have access to warm coats, gloves, and blankets upon discharge, we aren't just providing clothing; we are restoring dignity and offering a layer of hope that continues long after they leave the hospital doors.
